You feel you are doing your best, but the client shows up stressed. They are frustrated that they are not making as much progress as they expect.
A Course in Breathing shares breathing techniques used by elite strength coaches and personal trainers to help your clients reduce stress, improve focus and get more out of their training sessions.
You know that planks are effective, but the client can hold the regular front plank for 3 minutes with good form. They are bored and feel it is too easy.
Ground-Based Abs is the program smart strength coaches and personal trainers use to help clients develop strong and ripped abs using just the floor.
You have an ideal program in your head, but the client has limited access to equipment. To complicate the situation, the traditional bodyweight exercises are sometimes too easy. The advanced gymnastic calisthenics may take too long for the client to learn.
Deep Strength is the program high level strength coaches and personal trainers use to train clients anywhere with just a wall and a rope.
What else can I do with my Equalizer? How can I help my clients build strength muscle mass or endurance even if they don’t have access to weights?
How can I make sure that all clients in my class experience the resistance that is right for them? How can I give them a more challenging session in less time?
Against The Wall is the sequel to Deep Strength. 40 additional exercises.
Much more on isometric program design.

Athletes and clients need new exercises in their programs to stimulate new progress and keep engaged. If there are exercises already in your tool box that will do the job, that is the most logical choice. However, if you need to expand your tool box, where do you go? Other trainers, social media, books or courses? Knowing the principles of exercise creation adds the most empowering options, building on what you already know to create new and unique combination exercises yourself.
Periodization of High-Intensity Interval Training: Maximal Results without the Injuries was design to help you effectively deal with the following common scenarios encountered by strength coaches and personal trainers: Lack of results from interval training,; Ways to improve interval training programs; Overuse injuries from interval training.; Getting a beginner client ready for high-intensity interval training.
If you can't do it slow, you can't do it fast, as they say in Martial Arts. Therefore, Combination Exercises - as a tool for body composition changes - should be introduced to the client before lifting-based or callistenics-based HIIT exercises. By knowing the material of both manuals, you will start to see opportunities to create specific types of combination exercises and use them with high intensity interval training as well as to prevent pattern overload.
Help your athletes-clients to faster results by choosing a repetition tempo that works with – rather than against – the overall objective of the training program. This course was made to help you: Create faster results even without written training programs; Easily modify a training program in the case of minor tendon injury; Take advantage of both slow and fast repetition tempos.
It is not about IF your athletes or clients need maximal strength. It is about HOW they need maximal strength and for what purpose. -- Towards the end of his life, my father stuggled with walking up and down stairs and getting out of a chair using the strength of his legs alone. At another end of the spectrum my work with powerlifters finds them seeking maximal strength to exceed their personal best. I also work with other atheltes who seek maximal strength to improve their ability to perform high amounts of sport-specific practice with maximal quality and without injury.
You cannot execute an exercise without a tempo. The difference is how much you might have thought about it and - if you have thought about it - what kind of information is the foundation for your choice of tempo. Therefore, being able to assign the best tempo (or TCR structure, as we call it) greatly enhances the effect of your training programs.
